“See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you…”
“Loved ones, now we are the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we will be: but we know that when He appears, we will be like Him; for we will see Him as He is.” (1 John 3:2) We will be changed. We are only dimly aware of the beauty that is to come. Yet it is certain that the change will come.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” (Hebrews 6:16) Hold on to Jesus Christ.
After the rain, the beauty of the sun.
This is the day of rest. Peace to you.
Slow down. Listen to God’s voice. You will be amazed.
Look inside and see the ages. I have grown out toward eternity.
When all seems dark. You are not alone. There is a Light. Jesus is the light.
Jesus Christ is the music of my life.
